These lifestyle factors that can be adjusted in order to reduce one\u2019s risk for developing dementia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The 12 modifiable risk factors are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>less education in early life <\/li><li>hearing loss<\/li><li>traumatic brain injury<\/li><li>hypertension<\/li><li>alcohol<\/li><li>obesity<\/li><li>smoking<\/li><li>depression<\/li><li>social isolation<\/li><li>physical inactivity <\/li><li>air pollution <\/li><li>diabetes<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>An untreated hearing loss in midlife remains the largest modifiable risk factor of dementia.
