{"id":263,"date":"2023-04-14T13:08:17","date_gmt":"2023-04-14T12:08:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.hummingbirdhearingcare.co.uk\/blog\/?p=263"},"modified":"2023-04-14T13:09:24","modified_gmt":"2023-04-14T12:09:24","slug":"hearing-aids-in-middle-age-ward-off-dementia","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.hummingbirdhearingcare.co.uk\/blog\/hearing-aids-in-middle-age-ward-off-dementia\/","title":{"rendered":"Hearing aids in middle age \u2018ward off dementia\u2019"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Research posted by The Times has suggested that wearing hearing aids in middle age wards off dementia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Hearing aids protect against dementia and should be worn by middle-aged adults as soon as they notice hearing loss, research suggests.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The landmark study looked at 438,000 people in the UK, who had an average age of 56, and followed them for 12 years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>One in four reported some level of hearing loss as they grew older.
