{"id":241,"date":"2023-02-20T10:00:00","date_gmt":"2023-02-20T10:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.hummingbirdhearingcare.co.uk\/blog\/?p=241"},"modified":"2023-01-20T16:04:29","modified_gmt":"2023-01-20T16:04:29","slug":"tips-for-hearing-aid-repairs","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.hummingbirdhearingcare.co.uk\/blog\/tips-for-hearing-aid-repairs\/","title":{"rendered":"Tips for hearing aid repairs"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">General troubleshooting and maintenance <\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>If the hearing aid does not seem to be working properly or you are struggling to hear, please follow the steps below:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Try putting a new battery and ensure it is in correctly \u2013 with the sticker removed and the flat side of the battery facing towards you&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Check that the tube is not blocked with wax \u2013 you may need to replace the tube or clean the wax out of the tube. If you have a thin tube, you can use a cleaning wire to remove the wax. Please check the \u2018How to clean your hearing aid\u2019 section of this webpage for further advice.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Check for moisture in the tubing which could be blocking the sound \u2013 Replace the tube or leave to dry overnight outside the black pouch.
